Matthew McKean is highly proficient in crafting estate planning solutions for individuals, couples, blended families and family businesses. He has decades of experience in guiding clients through the complex maze of trust administration and probate, all while being cost-conscious and providing quality work.
Background and credentials
Matthew earned his J.D. from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College and his Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management, Summa Cum Laude, from Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado. Matthew also served in the U.S. Army. After a career with Boeing and Alaska Airlines, Matthew decided to follow his passion and became an attorney. He currently sits on the Oregon State Bar Association’s Disciplinary Board, is a board member of the Washington County Bar Association and the Washington County Law Library Advisory Committee; serves on The Tualatin Hills Park District’s Parks Bond Citizen Oversight Committee, and is a delegate to the governing House of Delegates of the Oregon State Bar. He previously served on the Unlawful Practice of Law Committee of the Oregon State Bar and has done pro bono work for the Senior Law Project and the St. Andrews Legal Clinic.
Personal
Matthew and his wife have two grown sons and have lived in Washington County for many years. They like to spend time with family and friends and enjoy the Northwest’s great outdoors whenever possible.
